Type: This is a real 5/8 mile track in Alabama.

AI: WC, BGN, CTS. 26 well spaced pits for easy entry and exit

Description:
This is rather well-known local Alabama track with Nascar roots. According to the information available to us, the track is banked rather gradually from 9 to 11 degrees. That's the way the track is set in Ver 1.0 on the turns and 2.5 on the straights. We were told by those who race there that the line around the track is up near the wall. You can cut T2, but it can cost you; the grip on the lower part of the track is reduced. And it's full of potholes.

The shape of the track poses some limitations to how well it works in the game. It has sort of a D shape to it, with the exit out of T2 being the top left corner of the D, and the entry into T3 being the bottom left corner of the D. The sharper arcs in these turns cause the AI to hitch up a bit more than you need to. Be careful when running behind a pack. They are not bad when its single file.

The real track produces 20.0 to 20.5 second lap times for Late Models, and 22.2x for Super Trucks. These are faster models than the more common mods for the game, unless you're using the late model mod. The assumption in setting the AI was that the Super Trucks would do about what a big old WC car with bigger hp could do. AI are set to run in the 22s and 23s. Best lap times by mod (at 100%) are:

default WC2003 cars: ~22.2
default PWF BGN cars: ~22.3
default Hooters Cup (bgn) cars: ~22.4
default PWF CTS trucks: ~23.2
da'rock's 2004 trucks: ~23.2
default ASA v1 (cts)cars: ~23.1
default ASA v2 (cts) cars: ~23.3
default Aero88 v1.1 cars: ~23.6 (this carset's drivers ratings are slow)
