Greenvil_GN64 has a different track.ini than GN69.  Other than that, it's the same track.


Greenvil_69 is an edit of the greenvil track converted from NL to N03 by David Noonan converter provided by TheUSPits and is intended for use with the GN70 mod. Weather clear and 110 degrees will keep some heat in the tires.

Not historically accurate!  I started out just making the track have a dirt surface but got carried away and ended up with what you'll see when you try it.  ;-)


Features -
Chassis 1 allows you to slide around a bit
Tested with the CTS physics, expert setup included (78 MPH best lap at 110 degrees and sunny)
2 pit lanes on the front stretch hold 26 cars total (25 cars raced in 1969 so you can race against the full field)
TSO's from other "1970" tracks and all the credit goes to the people that created them.  If you see something that is yours and would like credit in this readme, or if you want the object removed, contact me via the link at the bottom of this readme and I will take whatever action you request.

Known bugs - (aka things that need work and you are welcome to help fix!)
AI could be better.  Play with it a bit if you wish.
AI like to start out slow and get faster while the player car will start out fast and get slower due to the tires getting cooler.  1 way to help the car stick better and longer is to run with 110 degrees weather so the tires will start the race at 200 and cool to 110 (clear conditions).  If you do that, you will want to crank up the AI strength or adjust the track.ini AI lines to make them faster since hotter weather will slow them down (if you know how to tweak the AI, tweak away and send me updates and I'll include them and give you credit for working the AI if you like)
AI needs work - (read above) I've gotten them to behave a little better on the start/restarts but they will sometimes run you over
Player lap times are faster than the 1969 lap times and I can't slow the car down more without losing grip and that might make it too hard to drive
Some times, 2 cars will not leave their stalls after pitting and they always seem to be the same pit stalls for both pit0 and pit1. I'm thinking this might have been due to part of the pit stalls being set as 'pit road' so I changed that and hope it works.
Pit windows are weird.  Sometimes the AI will pit after just a few laps. (see the AI needs work above)  lol  Running with 2x pit window should have the player needing fuel around lap 65.

Graphics Issues - (tested in d3d only since that's what my system likes)
Some of the haulers only show in 'race' mode instead of being there for the entire weekend
Too many haulers show in 'testing' mode (should just be 1, yours)
Many of the TSOs show with 'some' objects selected.  Read the tutorial on that but never figured out how to change them (hope to learn that and fix it in a later version)
Infield texture is just all grass instead of having little dirt roads to get to the tech inspection area.
Modern day caution lights instead of those really cool lights across the track like Hickory 70
No shadow mapping (no clue how to do it)

Misc Issues -
Not historically accurate, just something to fill the Columbia 1970 slot or for a pre 1970 season
