Trucks and trailers by Denis Rioux
Water truck 3do by Robo19 of The Bullring (http://bigdonlinemotorsports.com/)

Edits by ZiggyM of Delta-SimRacing (www.delta-simracing.com) -
Made pit road shorter with wider stalls (fits 32 cars)
Moved the berm bridge to the end of the front stretch and made it the 'Chevron' bridge
Moved the other bridge to just before pit entrance and made it the 'Lowenbrau' bridge
Added some fencing off the last turn to help prevent people from running off and trying to turn around and getting black flagged or from having the drive through the crowd to get back to the track
Added some barrels here and there
AI minpanic and maxpanic adjusted to try to keep AI cars from freaking out when they get off track
AI pit lines adjusted for shorter pit road
Old looking blimp

Track.ini edits -
Changed the chassis to 1 to get the HP and speeds down to mid 60s standards (you want tires around 47 psi)
Changed the pit stalls to fit the pit road
Adjusted the tire heat and wear for chassis 1

Very big thank you to all that people that let me use there work in making this track -
Dan Olbuck for Bridgehampton. All the track work you see is from him. I just moved stuff and played with the track.ini
Denis Rioux for letting me use his trucks and trailers and other TSOs
The Bullring and Robo19 for the water truck (Chevron fuel hauler next to the infield garage)

Suggested settings -
Fixed setups with the GN64 setup will get you close to 1964 GN lap times if you are using the GNS or CUP physics. Intended for use with the GN60s cars of the HoStock mod.
Open setups with the GNS physics will get you faster and closer to the Trans AM 1970 lap times. Intended for the SNSC70_GNS mod to work as a Trans Am 70 type race.

CTS should work well for the GN70s cars while the PTA physics might work for a CAN AM type race. Neither has been tested so if you test and find some good tire or AI settings, let me know and I'll add them and give you credit for the work

Tested with GNS and CUP physics.

Known bugs -
AI will sometimes spin out if they are trying to 'limp' around the track. Not sure why, but they'll try to 'limp' at 60 MPH in spots where even the on track cars aren't going that fast and they'll lose it.
Not sure about the pit window for the AI - I will be addressing these issues after more testing and feedback. Since this is the first attempt at getting it out for people to test, it's not completely done.

Beta tester -
You

Have fun and thx for racing!

Description:

Bridgehampton Race Track was built near Sag Harbor, Long Island, New York, in 1957. It now joins LimeRock_Twist (V4.0) and Riverside_1970 (V1.0) as a trio of road courses I have developed for NR2003.

Bridgehampton road races began in 1915-1921 and were reinstated in 1949-1953. A dedicated road racing circuit was established in 1957 and continued in various forms until its demise in about 1998.

1958 through 1966 saw NASCAR sanctioned racing at "the Bridge" on four occasions, including wins by David Pearson and Richard Petty. Motorcycles, SCCA, CAN AM, and Trans Am all held regional and/or national events there.

In 1979 they ran some races in a counterclockwise direction.

Jim Hall's legendary Chaparral 2E made its sensational debut on the Bridgehampton race track in September 1966.

Pedro Rodrieguez, Phil Hill, Mario Andretti, Mark Donahue, Dan Gurney, Briggs Cunningham raced there, to name just a few.

Stirling Moss said it was "the most challenging course in the States."

You can go there today and drive a golf ball around what was for 85 years a world renowned fixture of road racing in America. Or, thanks to the magic of virtual reality, you can drive the course the way it was in the 1960's and 70's.

But a word of warning before you drive: "All who have raced there know that the earth is flat and ends in the sand at turn two." - Bruce MacInnes, Chief Instructor, Skip Barber Racing School.
